Mapperley Park Training is an independent training school associated with the Mapperley Park Clinic in Nottingham. The clinic has been using lasers in dermatology since 1993; Mapperley Park Training has been involved in training since 1998 and delivers 3 levels of training in lasers, light and associated therapies.

Core of knowledge is a one-day, theoretical introduction to lasers and light and covers the base-line knowledge required by Care Quality Commission, Licencing Local Authorities and for progression to other Mapperley Park Training delivery.

The BTECs are level 4 qualifications, awarded by Edexel and are delivered as a medical award; 'Laser, Light and Associated Aesthetic Therapies' and a qualification concentrating on depilation ;'Laser and Light Based Hair Removal and Photorejuvenation'.

    We also offer a Preceptorship Scheme which is a shadowing day observing our dedicated             laser practitioners or Clinical Director Jo Martin

The types of treatments available for shadowing access are listed below:

  • Tattoo removal QS Ruby, Nd:YAG 1064 and 532nm
  • Vascular laser treatments IPL, Nd:YAG, diode, pulsed dye
  • Sclerotherapy
  • Nlite acne Pulsed dye laser
  • Nlite Photorejuvenation Pulsed dye laser
  • IPL Photorejuvenation
  • Pigmented lesion removal IPL, QS lasers
  • Fractional ablative @2940nm
  • Consultations
  • Botox and fillers (Tues and Thurs pm only)
