Using Lasers since 1993; Training since 1998

Mapperley Park Training is an independent training business run by the directors of the Mapperley Park Clinic in Nottingham. The clinic has been using lasers in dermatology since 1993 and in training since 1998, now delivering 3 levels of training in lasers, light and associated therapies.

The Core of knowledge is a one-day introduction to lasers and light and covers the base-line knowledge required by Care Quality Commission, Licencing Local Authorities and for progression to other Mapperley Park Training delivery.

The BTECs are level 4 (undergraduate level) qualifications, awarded by Edexel and  delivered as the medical award; ‘Laser, Light and Associated Aesthetic Therapies’ and a more specific qualification ‘Laser and Light Based Hair Removal and Photorejuvenation’.

The BTEC qualifications are supported through a Preceptor programme, allowing case work to be completed against Mapperley Park Clinic’s own clinic activity.

In 2012, Mapperley Park introduced a new range of new functions and features including BTEC delivery in London and improved support for BTEC assessments through BTEC completion workshops.
