Treatments You can trust
Botulinum and filler injections started their commercial life in clinics such as ours - Mapperley park set up one of the first BOTOX training services with an education grant from Allergan, the manufacturer of BOTOX.
However, when the Labour government U-turned on its promise to control injectible treatments and decided instead not to regulate their use, injection services began to expand into GP surgeries, dentists practices and more recently beauty salons, nailbars and increasingly bizzarre settings such as nightclubs and excursion-boats; the BOTOX party had come of age.
While these services may be perfectly well delivered, there has been enough concern with poor practice in this expanding sector for the industry to launch a Quality Mark for injectible treatments known as ‘Treatments You Can Trust', of which Mapperley Park are a founding member.
‘Treatments You Can Trust' means that the service provider promises to deliver injectible treatments to a measurable standard and we at MapperleyPark Clinic know something about these standards because Paul Stapleton (Managing Director) helped write the standards in his involvement with the scheme's set-up.
If you are only concerned about getting the cheapest service, Mapperley Park will not be able to compete; untrained and unqualified injectors using products imported form China for a fraction of the cost of the real thing will always be cheaper; however, if you are looking for the most effective and the safest treatment, Mapperley Park hold all the cards.
Our injections are only carried out by one person, Dr Helen Fernandez who has been working for us since the clinic opened in 1993. Helen sat on the very first Allergan training day in 1997 and has carried out every single injection that we have ever delivered. Helen has a virtually zero complication rate and must be one of the most experienced injection practitioner in the country.
They say that you get what you pay for and at Mapperley Park Clinic, you may pay a little more, but you will get the best.
