The Mapperley Park BTEC Programme - 28 August 2011
The BTEC Programme
We have been delivering the BTEC professional awards since 1994, in which time they have evolved from a dry academic delivery to the vibrant, hands on courses that we deliver today. Rather than spending all of the time in the classroom, most of the time is now spent in clinic rooms assessing treatment theory against actual outcomes across a huge range of lasers and associated technologies.
In Spring 2011 BTECs, delegates engaged in practical demonstrations and assessed outcomes against QS Ruby, QS ND:YAG 1064/532, Alexandrite 755/Nd:YAG1064 and diode 810, CO2 and Erb:YAG ablative and fractional, Near IR and RF thermal devices, Vascular 532,585/595/940/1064 plus IPL, Dermaroller and Low-level light. That is 20 modalities from 13 different suppliers considered over 18 hours of workshops. These are the most comprehensive and information-rich courses available in lasers and light today - and we only intend to improve from here.
We are also fortunate in being able to count on the continuing support of a number of high-end manufacturer distributors including in the last series, Alma/ABC, Candela, Carlton/Iridex, Chromogenex, Cynosure, Dornier, and Syneron.
