VAT on ‘purely cosmetic' treatments                                               28th September 2010

As you may know, government is changing the way it looks at cosmetic treatments and, from October 1^st 2010, new regulations will apply and new VAT rules will come into play.

Regarding regulation, the vast majority of laser services will cease to be regulated and VAT will apply to all treatments.

Mapperley Park Clinic will however, remain regulated (by the Care Quality Commission) and will have to manage a more complicated VAT regime.

Even now, we are unsure exactly how VAT will apply to the range of services and treatments that we offer but we promise not to charge VAT where it is not due.
