We are now in the final stages of creating our first Mapperley Park Blog, launching in order to communicate with our clients, old and new and to advise and comment on issues arising in the cosmetic medical sector.

Jo Martin (laser and cosmetic treatments)and  Dr Helen Fernandez (BOTOX and fillers) will both be blogging, to encourage debate and to advise on access to safe and effective treatments from hair removal to cosmetic surgery.

You may not be aware that in 2010, Government removed the legal restrictions on who can operate a class 4 laser (the only ones that work) so that today, ANYONE AT ALL, whatever their training or competence, can offer a laser service.  In addition, Government has reneged on its own 2007 promise to regulate cosmetic injectables, such that now ANYONE AT ALL can deliver cosmetic fillers and even BOTOX.

We believe that this is wrong - 18 years of experience tells us that, EXPERTISE, EXPERIENCE and QUALITY EQUIPMENT are crucial in the successful delivery of cosmetic medical treatments however, these services are now also being delivered by untrained people, using cheap, imported materials and unsafe techniques.

The purpose of our blog will be to try and ensure that those seeking a professional cosmetic service find what they are looking for rather than being duped into paying for a sub-standard - or even a dangerous - service.

Over the coming weeks, the entire Mapperley Park website is being re-designed to provide better, more up-to-date information that will back up our promise to you:  at Mapperley Park, you will receive a quality of treatment and care that guarantees that you will receive the very best service - and the very best value.
