Fractional Radio Frequency for Stretch Marks
19th June, 2013
Now that the sun has finally decided to put in an appearance for longer than a day at a time (and at the right time of year), the streets are once again full of semi naked bodies.
But if you’ve got stretch marks, the thought of walking through Nottingham city centre in a crop top probably fills you with dread – never mind the thought of donning your bikini on a beach.
If this sounds familiar, you might be interested to hear about the most recent addition to our already impressive roster of treatments – Fractional Radio Frequency.
We have been offering this treatment for some time now, and are already achieving some very impressive results on stretch marks, both old and new. So even if your stretch marks have already turned silver, there is almost certainly something that can be done to improve the appearance of them.
Fractional Radio Frequency works by heating up the tissues within the treatment area – this heat causes instant collagen shrinkage and, if used over a prolonged period of time, a thermal effect. This thermal effect then stimulates a healing response, leading to the production of new collagen fibres in the treatment area, and thus a tightening effect is seen.
This treatment can be used very effectively for a wide range of other problems, too. For example, skin laxity on the face and some body areas can be successfully targeted. We are also seeing some excellent results on acne scars and fine lines and wrinkles. We can even treat eye areas to lift upper eyelids and reduce under eye skin laxity.
This treatment is proving very popular, especially on facial areas as it does not have the “down time” associated with the resurfacing laser and there is very little discomfort during treatment.
