Can anyone attend?

No, only qualified doctors, nurses or dentists can attend. We will ask for your GMC number when you book onto your course.

Do I have to do the beginner course first?

Yes. It is important you understand the basic techniques before advancing.

If I have completed a beginner course elsewhere, can I attend an intermediate course with you?

You may be eligible providing the course you have previously attended follows the same course structure as ours. We would require details of where you attended the course so we can confirm with your previous training provider that the courses are compatible. We would also require a copy of your certificate of attendance.

Who should I contact if my Moodle account doesnt work?

Do I complete any practical training as part of the course, or is it all theory?

BTEC level 4 is theory based only. There is an opportunity to see a live demonstration with BTEC Level 5.

How can I pay for my course?

You will receive an invoice where you can choose to pay either via BACS or contact the Academy and pay by card over the phone.

When is payment required by?

We require full payment 30 days before you attend.

Do I need to do any preparation before I attend BTEC Level 4?

In your confirmation email you will see some pre-attendance activities that need to be completed. It will list them in the email, and then when you go into your Moodle account, you will see them listed there as well. Please ensure that you give yourself up to 4 hours to complete these pre-attendance activities which will be referred to during the course.

Will there be assignments to complete after the course?

Yes, you will have two assignment briefs to complete for BTEC Level 4 and an assignment per module for BTEC Level 5, units 6-9.
