Contract a Laser Protection Adviser (LPA)

CSA2000 requires that laser/IPL users must have access to safety advice from a certified Laser Protection Adviser (LPA). Contracting a Laser Protection Adviser is a legal requirement. Some laser manufacturers offer this service as part of their sale. If not, finding a reliable LPA can be difficult.

Part of the new application process requests you include a copy of your Local Rules with the completed application forms. Only a Laser Protection Adviser can write these Local rules for you.

Our services include:

A named Laser Protection Adviser (RPA 2000 Certificated if required by local Inspectorate - an additional fee may apply)

Writing and checking of 'Local Rules' and laser/IPL safety procedures
P-Standards document formats

Telephone and e.mail support for duration of contract with guidance and advice for:

•  laser/IPL installation
•  safety requirements
•  working in the laser/IPL controlled area
•  risk assessments
•  maintenance requirements.

An annual visit by your LPA will be required, ensuring compliance with the Standards.
