The Registered Manager requires an overall knowledge of lasers, IPLs and their applications. Some laser & IPL manufacturers offer training as part of the laser sale but we recommend you find out exactly what the training entails and whether it matches your level and needs. During your Fit Person interview, the Registered Manager will need to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the technology, safety and legal issues.

Mapperley Park Training Centre based in Nottingham run a ‘Core of Knowledge' course – an essential foundation course for all laser and intense pulsed light practitioners. The course is ideal for those new to laser/IPL applications. It covers the topics required under CSA2000, introduction to laser/IPL technologies, safety issues and best practice for working in a Laser/IPL Controlled Area.
